The company which is based in Oberhaching near Munich is taken over by the US Aavid  Group.  A Noerr team led by the Frankfurt corporate partner Dr Thorsten Reinhard acted on the side of the sole shareholder and company founder Burkhard Kunze. A team led by Altium CEO Phil Adams together with Sam Fuller and Madeleine Jahr has advised the Singh Family Trusts on the GBP1.9 billion agreed sale of New Look to Brait.  Brait has acquired a 90 per cent stake in the business primarily from funds advised by Apax and Permira while the Singh Family Trusts and management will own the remaining 10 per cent of the business. Private equity firm GTCR is to sell Protection 1, one of the largest providers of security alarm monitoring the the United States, to Apollo Global Management. Protection 1 provides installation, maintenance and monitoring of security systems for residential, commercial and national accounts customers nationwide, and serves nearly two million customers, employing over 3,500 people in more than 70 office locations and five UL Certified monitoring centres across the country. In executing the Leaders Strategy, GTCR partnered for a third time with security industry leader Tim Whall to acquire Protection 1 in 2010. The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) has selected an affiliate of Apollo Global Management as its alternative credit manager.  Subject to final documentation, Apollo will oversee the LPFA’s GBP150 million allocation to alternative credit including distressed debt, real estate debt, leveraged senior loans and private lending.  The mandate will be unconstrained and target absolute returns by investing across a number of higher yielding debt markets. Ogier has advised Integrated Diagnostics Holdings plc (IDH) on its recent listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The USD668 million market capitalisation included an initial public offering which raised USD290 million. TorQuest Partners and its co-investors have completed the sale of their majority interest in Kissner Milling Company Limited to an investor group which includes Metalmark Capital, Demetree Salt, LLC. and Kissner's management team.  Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
