Private equity firm Bowmark Capital has sold UK Latin American-themed restaurant chain Las Iguanas to Casual Dining Group.
This transaction effectively completes the realisation programme for Bowmark Capital Partners III, resulting in a final return of approximately four times cost and making it one of the most successful funds of its vintage year.
Las Iguanas serves more than three million customers a year with Latin dishes cooked fresh on site at its 41 restaurants. The award-winning business is noted for its innovative approach, high levels of service and affordable prices.

Middle market private equity firm Quad-C Management has sold Dental Care Alliance (DCA), one of the largest multi-branded, dental-practice management companies in the United States, to New York-based private equity firm Harvest Partners.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
DCA, founded in 1991 and based in Sarasota, Florida, operates across eight states and serves more than 150 affiliated dental offices. The company provides back-office support to affiliated practices, ranging from human resources and marketing to purchasing, accounting and insurance management, as well as other services.

Atlas Holdings has sold its portfolio company Forest Resources, a North American manufacturer of industrial paper and packaging products, to PaperWorks Industries and New-Indy Containerboard, in two separate transactions.
PaperWorks has acquired CanAmPac, ULC, including coated recycled board (CRB) producer Strathcona Paper and folding carton manufacturer Boehmer Box. New-Indy has acquired Forest’s U.S.-based business, comprised of Hartford City Paper, Shillington Box and IVEX Specialty Paper. Terms of the two transactions were not disclosed.

Tiptree Financial has completed the previously announced sale of its subsidiary Philadelphia Financial Group to funds managed by Blackstone.
The deal includes both Philadelphia’s Third Party Administration and Life Insurance operations (PFG).
The sellers received a payment of USD155 million at closing and will receive additional two payments over the next two years totaling approximately USD9 million. Tiptree owned approximately 94 per cent of PFG and the remainder was owned by PFG’s employees.

Growing Underground, London’s first subterranean farm, will start trading for the first time in mid-July.
Last year the farm successfully completed a crowd funding round that was oversubscribed.
The farm, in old World War II tunnels beneath the Northern Line at Clapham, is the brainchild of West Country entrepreneurs Richard Ballard and Steven Dring, in partnership with Michel Roux Jr, the Michelin-starred chef. The concept has attracted huge interest from consumers and retailers as well as scientists and urban planners worldwide.
