A survey of general and limited partners conducted by SunGard and Longitude Research has found that the private equity industry has good opportunities to grow and expand its reach, but its leaders predict mounting pressure on fees, costs and the amount of information provided. The report found that with many LPs increasing their exposure to private equity and real estate in the face of low returns from traditional investments, 96 per cent of GPs are considering offering funds with more diversified investment strategies in the next two to three years and roughly the same are considering raising more money.  
Paine & Partners, a global private equity investment firm focused on investing in food and agribusiness, is to sell Icicle Holdings to Convergence Holdings and Dominion Catchers. Under the transactions, Convergence will acquire Icicle's land-based wild seafood processing and farmed salmon activities, and Dominion will acquire the Company's harvesting and processing vessels as well as the associated fishing rights.  Convergence and Dominion have agreed to enter into long-term contracts to continue Icicle's diversified seafood operations following the completion of the transactions. Gasum is selling its local distribution networks Gasum Paikallisjakelu Oy and Helsingin Kaupunkikaasu Oy to private equity firm SL Capital Partners infrastructure fund SL Capital Infrastructure I (SLCI I).
