HealthTech company Climedo has received EUR5 million in a seed financing round led by pan-European VC firm Nauta Capital.
Westtech Ventures from Berlin and existing business angels including as Prof Dr Christian Wallwiener (WMC Healthcare) also participated in the round.
Climedo is a digital platform for electronic data capture in decentralized clinical trials. The company will use the new capital for expanding within Europe and for further developing its software solutions.
For VC Nauta Capital, this is the fourth investment in the digital health sector.
Qumata, a specialist in tech solutions transforming the insurance industry ecosystem with a disruptive machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI) underwriting solution, has extended its Series A round of funding to USD23 million.
A number of the firms participating in this round are extending their initial involvement with Qumata, including continued investment by MMC Ventures.

New investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Gilde Healthcare, Novartis Venture Fund, and existing shareholder Asabys Partners also particpated.
The Company was seeded in 2020 by Ysios Capital and Asabys Partners.

TruArc Partners, a private equity firm focused on the middle-market, has invested in New Directions Aromatics (New Directions) in partnership with Founder and CEO, Alex Thomas.
Based in Toronto, New Directions is a supplier of natural ingredients to the cosmetics, health and beauty and personal care markets.
The newly formed partnership will provide New Directions with significant resources and capital to take advantage of growing demand for natural and organic products. Together, TruArc and New Directions will drive growth by supporting the development of value-add capabilities, people, and technology, as well as pursuing add-on acquisitions.

Founded in 2006, PaleoWest is a professional consultancy that assists clients with their need to address federal, state and local level environmental regulations, typically in support of a wide variety of land development projects such as the permitting solar and wind generation facilities, housing developments, roads and bridges and other major infrastructure development projects. PaleoWest’s practice focuses on archaeology, historic architecture, paleontology and other related environmental services.
