CBRE is making an investment in Fifth Wall’s Climate Technology Fund to enable the next generation of sustainability in commercial real estate. Alternate assets manager Vivaris Capital has launch a new, multi-strategy fund, the VICAN Fund, offering hybrid hedge and private equity structures.
Foresight Capital Management (FCM), part of listed infrastructure and private equity investment manager Foresight Group LLP, has launched the FP Foresight Sustainable Future Themes Fund, which will invest in a global portfolio of 20-40 scalable listed companies that meet the Fund’s stringent sustainability criteria for positive environmental and/or social impact, and targets capital growth over a five-year period. The Fund will be available to all UK-based retail and institutional investors. The Fund addresses the climate imperative and the need for global social development by identifying and providing capital to companies at the core of sustainable development across five Sustainable Future
HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) has expanded its alternative investments capability with a new Listed Infrastructure Equity Team and launched its first Global Listed Infrastructure Equity fund. The team joins from AMP Capital.   The team, led by Giuseppe Corona, Head of Listed Infrastructure Equity, has worked together for over five years and will report to Joanna Munro, CEO of HSBC Alternatives. Markd, a new insurtech VC firm, has closed its USD100 million debut fund which will fund early- and growth-stage startups with the potential to propel the digital transformation of the insurance industry. Anchor investors in Fund 1 include Markd founder and managing partner Parker Beauchamp and an undisclosed industry partner. 
Middle-market private equity firm GHK Capital Partners (GHK) has held the final closing of GHK Fund I with USD410 million in aggregate capital commitments, exceeding its initial target of USD350 million and surpassing its hard cap of USD400 million. This is the first private equity fund raised by GHK, which targets control investments in performing middle-market industrial companies across North America. GHK was founded in 2018 by Gilbert H. Klemann following a seventeen-year career at Goldman Sachs where he led control private equity investments across various North American end-markets. The majority of the GHK investment team joined him from Goldman
UC Berkeley SkyDeck, a global hub for entrepreneurship and a leading accelerator, has closed SkyDeck Fund II with USD60 million in capital commitments. The oversubscribed fund is nearly three times larger than Fund I and features a diverse set of returning and new investors including leading venture capital firms within Silicon Valley.  The SkyDeck Fund is the dedicated fund of Berkeley SkyDeck, University of California, Berkeley’s largest accelerator. The of upper limit of Motive Partners’ latest fund has been increased to US2 billion ahead of its expected closing in the next few weeks, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Investors agreed to the change by the New York-based firm, which is partly owned by Apollo Global Management Inc and Capital Constellation Inc, with the cap having originally been set at USD 1.5 billion. If the fund hits its new target it will be four times the size of its predecessor fund Motive Capital Fund I, which closed with capital commitments of USD473 million in 2019. 
Zurich-based venture capital investor, Redalpine, is launching its next private equity fund with a target target volume of CHF1 billion and an evergreen structure making it more attractive to a broader professional investor base. The Summit Fund has an evergreen structure, which is unique in venture capital but typical in classic equity investment funds. This allows for diversification over time across multiple economic and innovation cycles while providing investors with partial liquidity of their shares. Investors will benefit from exclusive access to investments in promising young companies and a return typical for this asset class. The CHF 1 billion target
Katie Haun, a crypto investor, has raised USD1.5 billion for her new fund, Haun Ventures, according to CNBC. Pitchbook is reported as saying it is the largest debut venture fund ever raised by a solo female founding partner. The former highest was a USD1.3 billion fund raised by investment banker, Mary Meeker. Haun Ventures will invest in the equity of crypto start-ups and sometimes also invest in their crypto tokens.  The fund will be divided into two – USD1 billion for later-stage projects, and USD500 million for early-stage companies and protocols.
