NIO Capital, a Chinese investment firm focused on decarbonisation and digitalisation, has closed its flagship fund, Eve ONE Fund II at approximately USD400 million.
The fund was oversubscribed and quickly surpassed its original target fund size and hard cap. Notably, this Fund has nearly doubled the capital commitments of its predecessor fund, NIO Capital Eve ONE Fund, which held its final closing in 2019. DisrupTech, a fintech venture capital firm based in Egypt, has secured a USD5 million investment for its latest venture capital fund from The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
The investment will help bolster development in Egypt’s fintech sector as well as extend access to financial services in the country.

Frazier Life Sciences has closed Frazier Life Sciences XI (FLS XI), exceeding its target of USD800 million and raising more than USD987 million in capital commitments in an oversubscribed fundraise.
FLS XI is Frazier Life Sciences’ fourth venture fund focused on biopharmaceuticals and represents a continuation of the team’s investment strategy of advancing innovative therapeutics through company creation, early-stage venture (Series A and Series B), and crossover and public investing.

Antler has closed its East Africa investment fund to continue to support early-stage tech startups in the region. Following strong interest, Antler’s East Africa fund was oversubscribed beyond thitse USD10 million target, closing at USD13.5 million.
