Churchill Asset Management, an investment-specialist of Nuveen which provides customised financing solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, has appointed Bennett (Ben) Love has Principal and Head of Fund Finance. In this newly created role, Love will be responsible for the development of Churchill’s overall leverage strategy, as well as the sourcing, execution and monitoring of financing arrangements across the platform. Love will be focused on all forms of bilateral and syndicated lending facilities, as well as public and private debt solutions, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Creative advocacy firm Subject Matter has secured an investment from Coral Tree Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm. The partnership will enable the Company to add new capabilities to better serve client needs while accelerating Subject Matter’s growth. Daily business operations will continue to be overseen by Chief Executive Officer Nicole Cornish, and Subject Matter’s founders. Subject Matter was formed through a 2015 merger that combined strategic communications, creative content and advertising, and government relations under one roof. 
Lightyear Capital (Lightyear), a New York-based private equity firm focused on financial services, has appointed Courtney Sullivan as Managing Director and Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations. Sullivan joins Lightyear from Inverness Graham Investments, a private investment firm that specialises in high-growth, innovative manufacturing, technology and service companies, where she was head of investor relations. Lightyear has all appointed Managing Director Natalie Ings to the firm’s Investment Committee, where as part of the senior leadership team, she will focus on enhancing value and driving growth at Lightyear’s portfolio companies.

Custonomy, a digital asset custody service firm, has completed a seed round of USD2 million led by Crypto Asset Management Firm Babel Finance, prominent worldwide crypto financial services provider, led the seed funding round. Custonomy’s next phase of expansion will be fuelled by the seed money with the funds set to be used to further the company’s institutional-grade, ultra-secure corporate management systems for crypto asset management using multi-party computation technology (MPC). AXA IM Alts, a specialist in alternative investments with cEUR183 billion of assets under management, raised a record EUR18.2 billion of capital in 2021, including EUR10.2 billion of third party commitments. Ansaar Management Company (AMC), a housing developer in Pakistan, has close a seed funding round led by leading impact investor Insitor Partners. The new funding will support AMC in delivering over 1,300 homes and residential plots, transforming the affordable housing landscape in Pakistan. Carey Olsen has added to its investment funds offering in Singapore with the addition of investment funds specialist Tom Katsaros. Katsaros, who specialises in the establishment, structuring and maintenance of private equity funds and hedge funds, joins Carey Olsen after 14 years at Maples where he was most recently head of the firm’s funds and investment management team in Singapore. In addition to acting for large financial institutions and investment funds sponsors, boutique and start-up investment managers, Katsaros also advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and financing transactions.
Behrman Capital, a private equity investment firm based in New York, has closed Behrman Capital Micross CF LP, a new single asset continuation fund of approximately USD500 million in connection with the sale of its portfolio company Micross Components (Micross or the Company), by Behrman Capital VI LP (Fund VI) and other investors.
