Guernsey funds have been reopened to millions of euros of potential investment as a result of the confirmation from the European Council of Finance Ministers (ECOFIN) that the island is considered a transparent and cooperative jurisdiction by the European Union. Private equity fund administrator Gen II Fund Services (Gen II) has appointed Ian Cameron as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Cameron will focus on strategic and operational responsibilities at Gen II and will report to the Managing Principals, Norman Leben and Steven Millner. Akin Gump has appointed Allen Shyu as a partner in the firm’s Beijing office. Shyu comes to Akin Gump from Stephenson Harwood, where he was the lead partner in the Beijing office.
