Ashurst has advised Recover Nordic, a portfolio company of the pan-European mid-market private equity firm Agilitas, on the acquisition of Relita Industri och Skadeservice (Relita), a provider of damage control services in Sweden.
Recover Nordic, which was acquired by Agilitas in 2013, is the largest emergency response and damage control business in the Nordic region that mainly provides water and fire damage recovery services.
Prior to this transaction the business had operations in Denmark, Norway and Finland, and Relita will now give the group coverage in Sweden.

Amplience has closed of a USD10.5 million Series B funding round led by Octopus Investments, with participation from existing stakeholders and investors including Northstar Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank.
Applience will use the funds to support its continued growth in the North American and Northern European regions.

AKT IP Ventures’ incubation investment fund builds
Swiss private equity investor HBM Partners (HBM) has acquired a minority stake in the Swiss company APR Applied Pharma Research SA (APR) for an undisclosed amount.
The fund’s advisor, Alexander Asam, will become a member of the Board of Directors of APR.
“We have followed the progress of APR for quite some time and are pleased to invest in APR. This investment underlines our strategy to invest in attractive, growing and internationally oriented firms. APR with its proven track record in formulation and development provides growth opportunities in various segments of the Healthcare industry,” says Dr Alexander Asam of HBM.
Gentoo Fund Services has expanded into Europe with the acquisition of SHRM Financial Services (Luxembourg), a Luxembourg-based provider of fund administration and domiciliation services.
Having gained regulatory approval, the 13 strong Luxembourg team will continue to serve existing clients, supported by Gentoo’s 29 employees based in Guernsey. The company will be renamed Gentoo Financial Services (Luxembourg).
The acquisition increases the group’s assets under administration to USD15bn. Two weeks after announcing Alain Ducasse Entreprise as the first borrower to use its SME lending marketplace, Lendix has brought in major new shareholders.
Decaux Frères Investissements, Banque Wormser Frères, Sycomore and 2twointernational family offices have joined the founding shareholders, providing EUR3.2 million of equity capital and committing EUR25 million to lend to SMEs on the Lendix marketplace.
