Tritium Partners, a private equity firm investing in growth companies in the lower middle market, has held a final closing on its third fund, Tritium III, with $684 million of committed capital. The fund exceeded its target and represents a nearly 50% increase over Tritium’s 2019 second fund. 
Buyout firm Convergence Partners has raised $296 million for a new fund that will focus on investments in African technology assets, bringing total funds under management at the firm to around $600million, according to a report by Bloomberg. Dutch diagnostics form Qiagen NV is considering selling a minority stake in its bioinformatics division, in a deal that could value that business at more than $1 billion, to a private equity investor, according to a Report by Bloomberg. Winton Group and Blackstone Inc are among the hedge fund and private equity firms that have helped drive leasing prices of high-end offices in London’s West End to record highs, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Funds advised by Permira have acquired a majority stake in Acuity Knowledge Partners, a provider of research, analytics and business intelligence to the financial services sector, from mid-market private equity investor Equistone Partners Europe.

Accel and Tiger Global are in discussions over the sale of their remaining stake in Indian e-commerce firm Flipkart to US retail giant and majority shareholder Walmart, in a deal valued at around $1.5 billion, according to a report by the Economic Times. Both companies were early backers of Flipkart with Accel now holding a stake of just over 1% of the business and Tiger Global about 4%. The fund received significant support from a diverse base of existing Vision Ridge clients as well as new institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, public pensions and consultants.
NESsT, a global impact investor and venture philanthropist, has launched the NESsT Violet Fund – its first fund focussed on investments in Central and Eastern Europe.
