Adenia Partners, an Africa-focussed private markets investment firm committed to responsible investing, has held the first close of its fifth flagship fund, Adenia Capital V, with $300 million in capital commitments from investors.
French private equity firm Ardian is to open a new office in Abu Dhabi – its 16th globally – as part of an initiative to expand partnerships in the region and support portfolio companies expanding into the region, according to a report by Reuters.
Private equity investment firm Inflexion has agreed to sell its investment in Scott Dunn, a luxury travel operator, to Flight Centre Travel Group, an Australian listed travel agency. 
Kain Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in healthcare services companies, has appointed Bret Cummings as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer. Healthcare veterans Anne Barr, Dennis Nesta and Long Thai have joined Kain as advisors.
New Enterprise Associates has closed two tech and health-focussed venture capital investments funds with approximately $6.2 billion in capital commitments, bringing the firm’s assets under management to over $25 billion as of 31 December, 2022.

Warburg Pincus LLC has raised $15.4 billion of a targeted $16 billion for its latest flagship global private equity fund – Warburg Pincus Global Growth 14 – that will acquire companies across industries around the world, according to a report by Reuters.
Tritium Partners, a private equity firm investing in growth companies in the lower middle market, has held a final closing on its third fund, Tritium III, with $684 million of committed capital. The fund exceeded its target and represents a nearly 50% increase over Tritium’s 2019 second fund. 
Buyout firm Convergence Partners has raised $296 million for a new fund that will focus on investments in African technology assets, bringing total funds under management at the firm to around $600million, according to a report by Bloomberg. The fund, one of the first PE vehicles focussed on sub-Saharan Africa this year, mainly attracted money from previous investors, development agencies and pension funds in the US, UK, Europe and Africa, said Chairman Andile Ngcaba in an interview. Dutch diagnostics form Qiagen NV is considering selling a minority stake in its bioinformatics division, in a deal that could value that business at more than $1 billion, to a private equity investor, according to a Report by Bloomberg.
