Circularity Capital, a specialist private equity firm supporting growth stage European SMEs in the circular economy, has appointed Sayen Pillay as operating principal.
Joining the business from private equity investment firm Tenzing, Pillay brings significant experience in driving portfolio growth and value creation for businesses operating across a diverse range of industries. Prior to Tenzing, he worked as a strategy consultant for Shell, helping the business to harness technology and accelerate the energy transition, and has also worked internationally for EY, IQbusiness and FNB South Africa.

Puma Private Equity, a specialist growth investor, has appointed Mark Lyons as Investment Director, as the business looks to expand its presence in the North of England. Puma operates in the scale-up to Series A space, providing equity investment of £2m to £10m to help businesses accelerate their growth plans.
Lyons joins from Praetura Ventures, where as Director of Investments he was part of the senior leadership team that grew the business to over £125 million AUM and invested in over 30 fast-growth, early-stage businesses.

Global investor services group IQ-EQ has appointed Ilias Georgopoulos as global head of private and institutional asset owners, a key position in the firm’s commercial leadership team.
Georgopoulos has over 25 years’ financial services experience, including more than a decade at senior leadership level and with responsibilities spanning the US, EMEA and APAC. Most recently, he was CEO of Credit Suisse’s MultiConcept Fund Management SA in Luxembourg, where he was responsible for driving growth initiatives, supporting on cross-product, cross segments development and enabling service evolution.

Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with more than $52 billion of assets under management, announced has opened a new office in Sydney, Australia, which will be managed by Shaun Thomas, newly appointed principal, investor relations, who joined the firm in November.
Sydney is Adams Street’s first location in Australia and fifth in the Asia Pacific region, joining Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, and Beijing. Adams Street now operates 12 offices globally.

Prysm Capital has promoted Lauren Moffatt to a partner of the firm, with immediate effect. Moffatt who has experience across various segments of the private equity value chain, has served as a principal at Prysm Capital since 2021.
Prior to Prysm, Moffatt spent four years as a member of Audax Group’s Investor Relations team, focusing on fundraising, product development, marketing and operating strategy initiatives. Earlier in her career, she spent a number of years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HarbourVest Partners and Boston Consulting Group.

HarbourVest Partners has expanded its senior team with a raft of promotions including the appointment of nine new managing directors, seven new principals, and five senior vice presidents across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
In addition to the managing directors, principals and senior vice presidents, this round of promotions also includes 17 vice presidents.
HarbourVest newly promoted managing directors are: Emily Archer, Matthew Dowgert, Dominic Goh, Blake Holman, Joel Hwang, Ryan Jones, Warwick Mancini, David Morris, and David Rule.
