Sidley has appointed Germaine Nicole Gurr as an M&A and private equity partner in the firm’s New York office. Gurr, who comes to Sidley from White & Case’s M&A practice in New York, has past experience as both a global corporate lawyer and a former executive at Schneider Electric, a global Fortune 500 company.
Gurr, whose corporate practice serves clients across the world in diverse industries, has represented clients in a wide array of matters, primarily focused on M&A, private equity, securities offerings, capital raising, joint venture and commercial transactions, and general corporate.

Petra Funds Group has appointed Adam Weiss as managing director and head of credit in the firm’s private credit fund administration business, which has doubled in size over the last 12 months. Weiss previously worked for Riverstone Holdings as the firm’s COO of credit.
IQ-EQ has appointed Matthew Abbott to the newly created role of global head of sales operations as the investor services group expands its commercial leadership team. Abbot has over 20 years’ industry experience spanning investor and asset servicing and wealth management.
Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Abbott was Director and Global Head of Sales & Client Enablement for HSBC Securities Services, where he was tasked with delivering executive management support and sales optimisation initiatives. He has also held director-level positions with RBC Wealth Management International and RBC Investor & Treasury Services.

Harris Williams, a global investment bank specialising in mergers and acquisitions advisory services, has appointed Martin Keck as a managing director in the Technology Group. Keck will be based in the firm’s Boston office.
Keck was most recently a managing director at Needham & Company and brings nearly 20 years of advisory experience to Harris Williams, including sector-specific expertise across education technology, HR and talent technology, and non-profit software.

Saldarriaga has over fifteen years of experience in private equity and consulting. He spent over twelve years at Bain Capital, where he focused on buyouts and growth investments in the industrial, business services, and technology sectors.
Saldarriaga was also the co-founder, CEO, and CFO of Belong Acquisition Corp, a $150 million SPAC focused on high-growth tech-enabled businesses. He began his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company
