Mercury Capital Advisors has added Devrup Banerjee as a partner in its secondaries advisory team. The appointment of Banerjee, who joined in February 2023 in the firm’s London office, follows the hire of Vik Salh as a vice president in the secondary team in New York last year.
Private credit investment firm Littlejohn & Co, has appointed Federico Persico, a credit specialist with more than 15 years of investing, business development, and investor relations experience, as Head of Capital Formation. 
Angeles Equity Partners, a lower middle-market private equity investment firm focused on value creation through operational transformation, has appointed Randi Moran as chief performance officer at Angeles Operations Group.

Peter J Clare, the chief investment officer of corporate private equity and chairman of the Americas at Carlyle Group, is to retire on 30 April after 31 years at the firm. He is also is stepping down from his role as a member of the Carlyle Board of Directors, effective immediately. 
Investcorp is to open a new office in Tokyo with a focus on acquiring high-end Japanese manufacturers, according to a report by the Financial Times. The office will initially be home to five staff with that number reportedly expected to double over the coming year. Investcorp, which manages more than $50 billion in assets, has a track record of investing in luxury and high-end brands having once owned Tiffany as well as a controlling interest in Gucci. Jeizo Takenaka, a former financial services minister in Japan has been appointed as chair of Investcorp’s Tokyo operation.
Global investment firm Cambridge Associates has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointments of chief data officer Harinder Soin and head of corporate strategy Adam Lester. Soin reports to Jason Roberts, chief technology officer and Lester reports to the firm’s chief executive officer, David Druley. As chief data officer, Soin is focused on implementing and overseeing the firm’s data strategy, governance, and execution. He joined Cambridge Associates in 2016, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in leading enterprise data architecture and designing IT applications and client reporting solutions in the investment management industry. Global growth equity private investment firm General Atlantic, has appointed senior advisor Samir Assaf as chairman of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), a newly created role, as the firm looks to sharpen its strategic focus on the Middle East.

KKR has promoted Pete Stavros and Nate Taylor to global co-heads of the firm’s private equity business. The pair, who have served as KKR’s co-heads of private equity in the Americas since 2019, will now also take on responsibility for the firm’s PE businesses in Asia and Europe.
Apollo Global Management Inc has appointed Whitney Chatterjee, a partner at New York Law firm Sullivan & Cromwell, as general counsel, effective 3 April. She will then transition to the role of chief legal officer in January 2024, succeeding John Suydam who has served as Apollo’s legal chief since 2006. Suydam will remain a partner at Apollo and take on the role of senior advisor. Chatterjee, who was most recently head of Sullivan & Cromwell’s investment management practice, will oversee the New York-headquartered firm’s asset management and retirement services businesses.  
Nick Hatch has rejoined Probitas Partners, an independent, global placement advisory firm, as managing director and global head of secondaries. The firm’s secondaries platform advises across the full range of LP and GP-led secondaries transactions globally.
