Apex Group has appointed Alice Read as country head, Jersey. She will report to James Burke, regional head of Northern Europe and Channel Islands and be responsible for leading the group’s Jersey-based team.

Ara Partners (Ara), a private equity firm that specialises in industrial decarbonisation investments, has appointed Peter Saldarriaga as a Managing Director. Saldarriaga will be based in the firm’s Boston office. Saldarriaga has over fifteen years of experience in private equity and consulting. He spent over twelve years at Bain Capital, where he focused on buyouts and growth investments in the industrial, business services, and technology sectors.   Saldarriaga was also the co-founder, CEO, and CFO of Belong Acquisition Corp, a $150 million SPAC focused on high-growth tech-enabled businesses. He began his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company

Circularity Capital, a specialist private equity firm supporting growth stage European SMEs in the circular economy, has appointed Anders Brejner as investment director. Brejener joins the business from GRO Capital, a European tech-focused private equity firm. 

Crestbridge has expanded its team in Luxembourg with two senior appointments – Teodora Croitoru who joins as head of compliance, fund services, and Emmanuelle Poret who has taken on the role of head of client onboarding, fund services & ManCo.

Audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe, has promoted Alex Conway, a director within its Professional Practice and Private Client teams, to partner. Conway specialises in professional practices and individual partners’ taxation, with a particular focus on the private equity sector . Conway has 14 years of experience working in tax and accounting, including spending time as head of tax at mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge. Conway he has experience advising partners and partnerships on a range of issues, including basis period reform, international expansion, salaried members legislation, LLP set up and succession, fund structuring, income based carried interest analysis

Perwyn, a European private equity investor, has appointed Stéphane Gaudard as an investment manager in its Paris office, as it continues to grow its presence in Europe following the appointment of Mathieu Antonini as Head of France in September 2022.

Drawbridge, a cybersecurity software and services firm specialising in the needs of hedge fund and private equity managers, has appointed Nick Pastoressa as its new chief product & technology officer to oversee the company’s technology strategy and platform evolution, and lead both the product and technology teams.

Zachary Jacobs has joined Kramer Levin’s New York office as a partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice. The firm has added six prominent lateral partners in key practice areas since the beginning of 2023. Jacobs represents clients in public and private acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, focusing on representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a wide range of industries, including health care, life sciences, chemicals and manufacturing. Jacobs joins Kramer Levin from Morrison Cohen, where he was a partner. He began his career at Sullivan & Cromwell.
