Impact investor North Sky Capital (North Sky) has appointed Jay Cruz as a Senior Fund Accountant. Cruz joins North Sky from Okabena, a Minnesota-based investment advisor serving families and non-profit organizations where he served as a Tax Manager. Previously he was a Tax Staff Accountant before rising in rank to Tax Manager at Baker Tilly, LLP. Jay holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a CPA.

Blackfinch has further bolstered its Ventures team with the appointment of EdTech entrepreneur and start-up investor Richard Harley. Joining the business as a Senior Ventures Manager, Harley brings more than 12 years’ experience to the role having previously co-founded ScholarPack in 2011 – an award-winning analytics platform that allows teachers in schools to monitor the progress and wellbeing of pupils more effectively.    Harley is tasked with working across the Ventures portfolio to support company growth plans, help shape management teams, assist with fundraising, and manage risk.
