Experienced Cayman funds specialist Barry McEwan has joined Ogier’s Cayman Islands team as Counsel.
McEwan (pictured), whose practice spans all areas of corporate and commercial work, with a focus on investment funds and private equity, is listed in Legal 500 as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ for Investment Funds.
Having started his career at Magic Circle firm Clifford Chance in London before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2014, Barry adds strength to Ogier’s growing funds team which is highlighted as an ‘early leader in Cayman’s nascent cryptocurrency space’ by IFLR 1000.

Allison Winchester has joined RedRidge Diligence Services as an Associate Director. Located in Chicago, she will oversee the scoping, budgeting and scheduling of the lender diligence field exams both domestically and abroad.

Investec Corporate and Investment Banking (Investec) has appointed Ben Bourne, Michael Donnelly and Salvatore Caruso as it strengthens its equity research team.
Bourne has joined Investec to head the capital goods research team. He has 15 years’ experience as an equity research analyst and joins from Liberum, where he led the UK capital goods equity research team from 2010. His research coverage encompassed aerospace and defence, industrial engineering, electrical equipment, support services and the tech hardware sector. Prior to this, he was the industrials analyst at Oriel Securities.
