Rigby Private Equity (RPE) has opened a new office in Vienna, Austria. Specialist value-added distributors Wick Hill and Zycko (both part of RPE) already have business in Austria and this move shows the commitment of both distributors and RPE to strengthen and grow activities in that territory.

Sumo Digital has announced Nottingham as the location for its second UK and third global studio. Sumo, backed by private equity firm NorthEdge Capital, is a creator and developer of video game products and services, working on the world’s largest brands and franchises for leading publishers and platform holders across Europe, US and Japan.
Opening at the end of March 2016, Sumo’s second UK studio aims to employ 50 people in central Nottingham, joining a team of 280 people at the firm’s existing offices in Sheffield, UK and Pune, India.

MMC Ventures has appointed Jon Coker, an MMC team member for nine years, as Managing Partner to share the responsibility of the day-to-day running of the business with Founder and Managing Partner Bruce Macfarlane.
Since joining MMC in 2007 from JP Morgan, Coker has been influential in a number of successful investments, with the successful exit of Total Mobile the most recent. Coker also sits on the board of a number of high profile MMC portfolio businesses including SafeGuard, Gousto and CloudSense and was nominated for Investor of the Year at 2015’s Investor Allstar Awards.

Macquarie Investment Management (MIM), the investment management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Dominic Janssens as the firm’s new global chief operations officer, based at its global headquarters in Philadelphia.
In this role, Janssens’ responsibilities will include developing the strategy to optimise and scale MIM’s global platform in areas including investment operations, administration, controls, fund accounting, business management and financial and management analysis.
Janssens will join the organisation on 4 April and will report to Ben Bruck, the global head of Macquarie Investment Management and the chairman of Delaware Investments. While based in Philadelphia, he will oversee MIM’s operational
Gerritjan Eggenkamp has been promoted to partner with Avedon Capital Partners based on his strong contribution since joining the firm in 2012.
Prior to Avedon, he worked at McKinsey&Company for eight years, focusing on strategic and corporate finance related projects. Prior to this, Gerritjan worked at ING and was also a member of the Dutch rowing team, and has competed in several World Championships and Olympic Games. He holds a MSc in Applied Computer Science from Delft University and a MSc in Management Research from Oxford University.
