Mooreland Partners has promoted two of its London-based senior banking professionals, Louis Jeng and Fabian Zimmer, to the position of Executive Director.
Jeng joined Mooreland in 2011, and is a member of the firm's Enterprise Software and Industrial Technologies and Electronics teams. Since joining Mooreland, he has completed M&A transactions for clients throughout Europe. Jeng is a Singaporean and speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese, and therefore also plays a key role facilitating cross-border transactions involving Chinese and Asian counterparties.
Zimmer joined Mooreland in 2008, and is a member of the firm's Enterprise Software and Industrial Technologies and Electronics teams. A
Pamplona Capital Management has appointed Pedro Rapallo (pictured) as an Operating Partner in order to supplement its deal team and support its focus on the Iberian Peninsula.
In this new position, Rapallo, along with the Pamplona Capital team, will drive new investment opportunities in Spain and Portugal.

VentureFounders, the UK-based equity investment platform for sophisticated investors, has appointed former CEO of Dyson, Martin McCourt, as Chairman of its Board.
The appointment follows the completion of a GBP1.8 million fundraise, which will be used to fuel further growth for the investment platform that aims to make venture capital and angel style investing much more accessible.
McCourt’s expertise at the forefront of British business will be invaluable in helping shape the future strategic direction of VentureFounders. Raynaud is joining Idinvest Partners as an Investment Director. He will source, analyse, and structure investments within the Private Debt and Strategy & Solutions departments, with a specific focus on asset-based financing.
Before joining Idinvest Partners, Raynaud spent four years in Qatar within the Capital Markets department of the sovereign wealth fund QIA. He structured asset-based financing, particularly in real estate, as well as investments and hedging transactions across asset classes (equity, fixed income, FX and rates). Before that, he worked for 6 years within the Strategic Equity/Corporate Equity Derivatives team of Natixis as a structurer and 2 years as
David E Barrett, a transactions lawyer with significant financial institutions experience, has joined Norton Rose Fulbright’s New York office as a partner. Barrett comes to Norton Rose Fulbright from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Pamplona Capital Management (Pamplona) has named J Joel Hackney, Jr (pictured) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the new company to be formed by the combination of MedAssets’ Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) with Precyse, a Pamplona-owned health information management (HIM) services, technology, and education company.
Hackney will assume his role following the completion of Pamplona’s acquisition of MedAssets, expected in late January. Hackney’s executive leadership team, also being announced, includes current key leaders from MedAssets and Precyse, providing continuity and legacy expertise as the businesses merge and expand offerings.
