Private markets investor HarbourVest Partners is opening new offices in Seoul, South Korea and Tel Aviv, Israel, taking the firm’s global presence to nine locations around the world. The firm’s new locations in Seoul and Tel Aviv will be led by Principal Minjun Chung and Ilan Rosen, respectively.   Peter Wilson (pictured), Managing Director, HarbourVest Partners, says: “We are very pleased to announce our latest global offices in Seoul and Tel Aviv. Private equity firm Monomoy Capital Partners has appointed Phil Arra as a Managing Director and the Head of Business Development. Arra will focus on sourcing Monomoy investments from corporate sellers, family owners, specialised intermediaries and other business owners. Arra has over 20 years of private equity and investment banking experience in the middle market. He joins Monomoy from Terra Verde Partners, a private investment firm focused on acquiring businesses in the environmental sector. LPEQ, the international association of listed private equity companies, has appointed Douwe Cosijn to succeed Andrea Lowe as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from 4 January 2016. Lowe has chosen to step down as CEO of LPEQ early in the New Year, following ten years at the association’s helm.
