Russell Investments has hired Ayesha Parra from Goldman Sachs Asset Management as Global Head of Alternatives in its New York office. She will lead the overall business strategy for the firm’s alternatives platform globally.

New Catalyst Strategic Partners, an alternative investment firm focused on acquiring economic interests and minority ownership stakes in private investment firms, has added Ali Gray, Alice Wang and Curtis Yasutake to its team.

Lazard has recruited Courtney Haydon from Guggenheim Securities as a Managing Director to enhance its private equity and alternative asset management dealmaking capabilities, according to a report by Reuters.

First Reserve, a global private equity firm investing across energy, utility, and general industrial end-markets, has promoted Rohit Agarwal from Associate to Vice President. 

International law firm Perkins Coie has added private funds partner Kerry Potter McCormick, who advises private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, credit funds and funds-of-funds, to the firm’s corporate and financial regulation practices in New York.

Federated Hermes Private Equity has promoted Brooks Harrington, previously Deputy CIO and Head of US Investment, to CIO, Private Equity. 

Los Angeles-based global private investment firm Atar Capital has appointed Nick Polanski as Director. In his new role, Polanski will oversee commercial and operational due diligence in transactions as well as provide operational support to Atar’s companies. 

Global law firm Goodwin has added Thiha Tun as a partner to its private investment funds practice in London. Tun, who was most recently a partner at Dechert, is the fourth partner to join Goodwin’s private investment funds practice.
