Stephen Lansdown, non-executive director, CISX
The board of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) has appointed Stephen Lansdown as non-executive director.   Lansdown (pictured) was co-founder and former chairman of Hargreaves Lansdown, from which he stepped down in November 2012. He is also a majority shareholder of Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby Club.   A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Lansdown was presented with Honorary Degrees from Bristol University (Doctor of Laws) and the University of the West of England (Doctor of Business Administration) in 2012.

BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Darren Banks to lead on the development of the UK trustee and depositary business.   James McAleenan, head of the UK at BNP Paribas Securities Services, says: “Darren Banks brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our business and we are pleased to have him on board.  He will be responsible for growing the UK trustee and depositary business enabling us to become the partner of choice and a differentiator by truly leveraging a pan-European approach to depositary services rather than the traditional UK centric view.”   Banks joins from State Street Trustees
Green Courte Partners, a private equity real estate investment firm targeting parking assets and land-lease/manufactured housing communities, has promoted Braden L Rudolph to vice president, asset management.   Since joining Green Courte as a senior associate in June 2011, Rudolph (pictured) has been involved in Green Courte’s acquisitions and asset management efforts. He was actively involved in Green Courte’s acquisition of The Parking Spot, one of the nation’s leading owner/operators of near-airport parking properties, with 35 locations and over 60,000 parking spaces.    Most recently, Rudolph has been involved with implementing strategic initiatives at American Land Lease, an owner/operator of

Sovereign Capital’s higher education investment, GSM London, has appointed Alison Wheaton as its chief executive.    Wheaton has significant experience of leading service-oriented businesses. Most recently she led business development, strategy, property and IT at Mitchells and Butlers, the UK’s largest managed pub and pub restaurant operator, with more than 2,000 sites.    Prior to this she was business development director at PepsiCola International. From 2004 to 2008, Wheaton served as non-executive director for the London Development Agency, where she was a member of the Olympic Delivery Committee. An American national, Wheaton started her career at Morgan Stanley.   GSM
