Global private investments firm Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) has appointed Michael Hyatt as a Senior Advisor supporting its venture capital and growth equity investment programme.
Hyatt will work alongside the Northleaf private equity and venture capital team to source and evaluate investment opportunities.
Hyatt is the co-founder of BlueCat (in which Northleaf was an early investor and which was acquired by a private equity firm in 2017) and previously co-founded Dyadem (a software company that was sold to IHS in 2011). He currently serves as a Director of BlueCat.

Blank Rome has appointed David E Kronenberg as an energy finance partner in the Finance, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy practice group, and a member of the firm’s cross-practice Energy Industry Team.
Kroenenbrg, who will be based in the firm’s Washington DC, and Cincinnati, Ohio, offices, will focus his practice on the intersection of energy hedging, financing, and bankruptcy law, representing energy companies, financial institutions, hedge funds, and private equity firms.
Kroenenbrg joins from Sidley Austin where he served as counsel in the firm’s energy group.

Liquid Stock, a partner for private company shareholders seeking liquidity, has expanded its team with the hiring of Annie Woodworth, Vice President of Legal, and Khatija Teekay, Investment Associate.
Woodworth joins Liquid Stock from 500 Startups, a global venture capital firm where she served as Counsel and was primarily focused on deal execution.
Teekay joins Liquid Stock from Deloitte, where she specialised in large-scale lending technology transformations as part of the firm’s Digital Banking practice.

Khalid Kahn has joined Aeon Investments, a London based credit-focused investment company, as a Managing Director in the firm’s investment team.
With more than 20 years of experience, Kahn joins Aeon from Federated Hermes International where he was Senior Credit Structurer in the Fixed Income Group responsible for managing structured credit portfolios comprising regulatory capital trades and CLOs.
As a senior member of the investment team, Kahn is responsible for originating and structuring new investments, and managing existing credit portfolios in commercial real estate and SME lending.
HIG Capital, a global alternative asset manager with over USD47 billion of equity capital under management, has added Dyice Ellis-Beckham and Sergei Schmidt to the firm’s Capital Formation Group.
Both Dyice and Sergei will be based in HIG’s New York office and responsible for capital raising and investor relations activities in North America.
Ellis-Beckham joins HIG as a Managing Director from Invesco’s Institutional Sales group, where she was responsible for business development and capital raising activities across Invesco’s platform.
Schmidt joins HIG as a Principal from Varde Partners, where he was a Senior Relationship Manager responsible for institutional business development
ATL Partners (ATL), a sector-focused private equity firm investing in aerospace, transportation and logistics, has made two promotions in its investment team. Allie Donini and Eli Exum have both been elevated to Vice President from Senior Associate.
Donini joined ATL in 2019 from Goldman Sachs where she was an associate in the Investment Banking Global Industrials Group. Exum joined ATL in 2019 from Lindsay Goldberg where he was an associate and worked across a variety of sectors including industrials and government services.
