HQ Capital has hired Kevin Nowaskey as a Vice President in the firm’s global private equity investment team. He will be based in New York.
Nowaskey joins HQ Capital from Partners Group AG where he focused on the sourcing, evaluation and execution of private equity secondary transactions and participated in fundraising. At HQ Capital, Kevin will be responsible for leading private equity deal teams on secondary transactions and will assist with fundraising efforts globally.

NextEnergy Capital Group has appointed Lorena Ciciriello as Head of Debt Financing. The Argentinian-born former Head of Renewable Energy EMEA in the project finance division of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), will join on 9 April 2018.
Ciciriello brings with her an extensive background in financing renewable infrastructure assets in multiple jurisdictions across both established and emerging markets, during development as well as operations.
She will be responsible for the structuring and execution of the debt financing transactions across all geographies and investment funds managed by NextEnergy Capital, including the listed NextEnergy Solar Fund and the NextPower series private
Global law firm Dentons has strengthened its Banking and Finance practice in Paris with the recruitment of capital markets and structured finance partner Julien Bacus and associate Aurélie Bonnet.
They join Dentons from Ashurst, where Bacus was a partner in the Finance department since 2008. Prior to that, he worked for Allen & Overy in Paris and London for almost eight years.

Heartwood Investment Management, the asset management arm of Handelsbanken in the UK, has made three new appointments.
Siobhan Pandya has joined as Head of Investment Communications. Pandya is responsible for developing and implementing the content and marketing strategy for Heartwood. She has extensive experience of generating and managing cross-asset content, having previously spent seven years at M&G Investments, most recently as Head of Equities Market Content. Siobhan has also held roles at Henderson Global Investors, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan.

PNC Business Credit, the senior secured lending division of PNC Bank, has made three appointments in its senior secured financing team in the Upper Midwest and Western regions.
Luke Tripodi has been appointed senior vice president and business development officer for PNC Business Credit. Based in Chicago, he has responsibilities for private equity and direct origination in the Minnesota and Chicago markets. Tripodi joins the organisation from BMO Harris Bank where he spent the last 10 years, most recently serving as vice president for BMO’s asset based lending group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology from Illinois
Technology, media and communications global investment bank Drake Star Partners has appointed seasoned media and Internet investment banker Michael Metzger as a Partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Metzger will be focusing on media, Internet and the tech sectors.
This announcement follows Drake Star Partners’ recent office launch in San Francisco back in September 2017, with Mark Bradt joining as the firm’s first Partner based in the Bay Area. Metzger’s appointment as a Los Angeles-based Partner further extends Drake Star Partners’ coverage in the West Coast.

Italian corporate and financial law firm Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners has appointed Andrea Calvi as partner and head of the firm’s new financial regulatory practice.
The new team includes associates Nicolò Vignali and Alberto Prade.
Calvi has extensive experience in banking and capital markets, coupled with a thorough knowledge of Italian and international laws and regulations. In particular, he specialises in investment services and financial products, as well as in governance of investment and asset management firms.
Calvi joins from Studio Legale Galbiati, Sacchi e Associati. Previously, he practiced for twenty years at Studio Loiacono e Calvi.
Ogier has promoted Richard Bennett from the firm’s London based investment funds team to managing associate.
Bennett (pictured), who has been with Ogier since 2011, is a Registered Foreign Lawyer regulated by the Law Society of Hong Kong, and worked at Hogan Lovells and the UK Financial Services Authority before joining the firm.
He specialises in licensing, fund structuring and restructuring and financing arrangements under the laws of the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands for private equity and hedge fund clients.

Paul Morris joins BDO’s corporate finance team following 14 years at Livingbridge and having held previous positions at Barclays.
