LBO France has appointed Sophie Chateau as Managing Director within the Investor Relations team, which will now be made up of six members.
Since 2011, Chateau served as Associate Director at Weinberg Capital Partners, with responsibility for investor relations across all activities. In this role, she also oversaw the fund-raising process for both private equity and real estate activities.
Chateau brings with her over 15 years of investment experience. Having begun her career in 1995 in M&A with UBS in Paris, before continuing in London, she joined Chevrillon Candover (1998), subsequently Chevrillon & Associés (2001), an independent private equity firm.
Sun European Partners has made two senior hires in Europe.
Andreas Bösenberg has joined as Managing Director of the Frankfurt office and Michael Palm as Managing Director of Sun’s new Swedish office in Stockholm, supporting the firm’s continued expansion in the region.
Bösenberg joins from VTB Capital where he spent nearly five years as Deputy Head of Private Equity and Special Situations. Prior to this, he was Co-founder and Managing Director of Brockhaus Private Equity in Frankfurt. Mercia Fund Management (MFM) has appointed Dr Nicola Broughton (pictured), a Leeds-based consultant specialising in the commercialisation of Intellectual Property, as an Investment Director and Head of Technology Transfer.
Broughton will be growing a team to help support Mercia’s university partners in their areas of geographical focus – the Midlands, North and Scotland.
Broughton has already worked closely with several MFM investee companies within the Life Sciences sector, As well as Mercia’s university partners in the Midlands. Redbox founder and former CEO and former Coinstar President and COO Gregg Kaplan has joined Pritzker Group Private Capital as its operating partner for the services team.
Kaplan will be based in Chicago, where he and investment partner David Rosen will lead the services investment and operations team. Rosen and Kaplan will source, invest in and oversee a group of services companies for Pritzker Group Private Capital. Pritzker Group Private Capital’s services companies today include PECO Pallet and Entertainment Cruises.

Private equity firm TA Associates has appointed Daisy Cai as a director in the firm’s Hong Kong office, where she will focus on investments in growth companies in China.
Cai joined TA Associates from Goldman Sachs Investment Partners in Hong Kong where she has been leading deal sourcing, due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio management for growth capital investments in the TMT, consumer and education sectors in Greater China.
