Family office investor Kidd & Company and private investment firm Firmament have exited their investment in Logistyx Technologies, a global multi-carrier shipping software company, in a sale to E2open Parent Holdings, Inc (ETWO) for USD185 million. E2open is a leading network-based provider of a cloud-based, mission-critical, end-to-end supply chain management platform. Thomas H Lee Partners, LP (THL), a private equity firm investing in growth companies, has acquired a majority interest in Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO or the Company), a healthcare data enablement company and market leader in clinical terminology solutions from Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor. THL’s investment will support the Company’s product development and expanded commercial relationships with hospitals and other health care providers. Founded in 1994, IMO manages more than 5 million clinical terms and maps to all major coding systems. Global merger and acquisition (M&A) activity has seen a strong start to 2022 with the number of completed deals valued over USD100 million in the first quarter exceeding the same period last year. The Riverside Company, a global private equity investor focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has invested in EventsAIR, an Australian events management software solutions provider for in-person, virtual and hybrid events. The investment is being made in partnership with EventsAIR’s founder, Trevor Gardiner, and several other members of the management team including incoming CEO Matthew Donegan-Ryan. Orka Technology Group (Orka), a SaaS business that provides tech-based solutions for shift workers and their employers, has secured a GPM3 million investment from venture capital investor Praetura Ventures. The business will use the funding to support people – such as cleaners, engineers and security staff – seeking shift work in the facilities management (FM) sector by helping them to source job opportunities, onboard with new employers and get paid.   With Praetura Ventures’ investment, Orka plans to accelerate product development, grow its API integration programme and target growth in new markets, including in the mechanical and electrical sectors.
NorthEdge-backed Correla has completed its first strategic acquisition – CloudKB, a cloud-based energy data management business. NorthEdge acquired Solihull-based Correla in March 2021.
