Global Investment House has appointed Rajiv Nakani as senior vice president to head the company’s alternative asset management business.
Nakani (pictured) has more than 16 years’ experience in investing and investment banking and brings in-depth sector experience in financial services, telecom, media, retail, logistics, healthcare, education and real estate.
Nakani was Global’s head of investment banking from August 2004 to June 2007.

M/C Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused exclusively on the communications, media, and information technology sectors, has appointed Lydia Jett and Matthew Saretsky as senior associate and associate to its investment team.
They will assist with investment sourcing and due diligence, and provide support to portfolio companies.

Kohlberg has appointed Andrew P. Bonanno as managing director of business development.
Bonanno, who will be based in the firm’s Mt. Kisco office, had most recently served as vice president of business development for American Capital’s New York-based buyouts team.
In his new role, Bonanno will primarily be responsible for building relationships with the firm’s external deal sources, as well as developing and leading Kohlberg’s proprietary investment sourcing programs.
Bonanno brings more than 14 years of principal investment experience. In his previous capacity at American Capital, Bonanno spearheaded the New York buyouts team’s go-to-market strategy and relationship management efforts. Prior
Benchmark Capital, an early-stage technology venture capital firm, has appointed Michael Wolfe as an entrepreneur-in-residence.
This is the second time Wolfe (pictured) has been an entrepreneur-in-residence at Benchmark.
His last Benchmark-backed company, Vontu, was acquired by Symantec in 2007. After the Vontu acquisition, Wolfe served Symantec in a broader role as chief technology officer for the company’s enterprise product group.

Accel Partners, a global venture capital and growth equity firm, has appointed Neeraj Bharadwaj as a managing director to help build its growth equity investing initiative in India.
Bharadwaj (pictured) joins Accel from Apax Partners India, where he was managing director and country head.
At Accel, he will be responsible for scaling the growth stage effort, which will target USD10m to USD50m investments in mid-sized Indian companies across different sectors. This initiative will complement Accel’s existing venture capital activity in India, which targets smaller investments and active involvement in high potential early stage companies.

Apax Partners, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, has appointed Sandeep Naik and Shashank Singh as co-heads of the India office.
Naik (pictured) and Singh both joined the firm in 2004 in the New York and London offices, respectively, and relocated to co-found the India office in 2006.
They will be replacing Neeraj Bharadwaj, who is leaving the firm to join a US growth capital firm.

Multi-jurisdictional law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has hired Guy Cooper to its corporate practice in Bermuda as part of a spate of new hires to the firm.
Cooper (pictured) will focus on company and commercial work, with specialist expertise in the formation of companies and partnerships, joint ventures, restructuring and finance transactions.
He has experience in a diverse range of corporate, transactional, regulatory and finance work.
Cooper joins Conyers from Reed Smith’s financial industry group, where he worked as an associate in both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices of the firm. Prior to working at Reed Smith, Cooper
Offshore law firm Harney Westwood Riegels has appointed Jane Yao, Monica Chu and Tiffany Tang in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Yao (pictured) joins as a senior associate. Prior to joining Harneys, she was a senior foreign associate with the law firm of Colin Ng Partners in Singapore where her areas of practice included mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and foreign direct investment into China.
Chu joins as an associate from another Cayman and BVI law firm. Her areas of expertise include all corporate and commercial disciplines, particularly in relation to banking and finance, and investment funds.

General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, has promoted Adrianna Ma to managing director and Jing Hong to principal.
Ma (pictured) is based in New York and leads GA’s global energy and resources sector.
Hong is a senior professional in the firm’s Beijing office and focuses on investments in China.

Intersouth Partners, a venture capital firm that provides entrepreneurs with early stage capital, has named Katrin Burt and James Rosen as partners.
Burt (pictured) has been an associate of the firm since 2007 as a member of the technology team. She joined Intersouth in 2004 as an analyst, working with the firm’s investment team on the analysis of potential new investments and the growth of Intersouth’s existing portfolio companies.
Burt joined Intersouth from HSBC, where she was a foreign exchange trader in London, managed portfolios of treasury products and equities in Tokyo and eventually moved to a business development role
