GlobeOp Financial Services has appointed George Evans as head of business development.
Evans reports to Hans Hufschmid (pictured), GlobeOp chief executive officer, and is based in the company’s New York City office.
He is also a member of GlobeOp’s operating committee.
"As demand for GlobeOp’s services continues to grow in both hedge fund and new institutional sectors, we will look to George’s extensive experience to identify and capture new opportunities," says Hufschmid. "His understanding of the market and client requirements will also help us create new products and client services that further differentiate the GlobeOp brand."

Institutional Venture Partners, a later-stage venture capital and growth equity firm, has promoted Melanie Chladek to administrative partner and chief financial officer.
She is responsible for managing the firm’s financial, operational and administrative activities.
Chladek was instrumental in the closing of Institutional Venture Partners XIII, a USD750m later-stage venture capital and growth equity fund, in August.
“Melanie has been an essential part of IVP since 2000. She has managed the growth of our facilities, personnel and funds under management with tenacity and grace and is an essential and valuable part of our organisation,” says Steve Harrick, general partner of IVP.
Channel Islands law firm Carey Olsen has appointed James Mulholland as a partner.
Mulholland will be working in Carey Olsen’s Jersey and London offices in the corporate and funds practice areas.
He most recently worked at O’Melveny & Myers in London for five years where he advised on an extensive range of corporate and private equity-related transactions, including fund formation, spin outs, fund restructurings, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
He previously worked at Slaughter and May, where he advised on both corporate and investment fund transactions.

Crosslink Capital, a venture capital and growth equity firm, has appointed Eric Chin as partner.
Chin was most recently a general partner at Bay Partners.
At Crosslink, Chin will focus on internet, software and technology startups, investing in early stage and later stage companies.
Chin began his venture capital career in 1993 at Highland Capital Partners. He then co-founded internet server software company WebSpective in 1996 (acquired by Inktomi), and TelASIC in 2002, a Raytheon spinout which was acquired by Microelectronics Technology.

Latin America focused New York law firm Schwartz has hired M&A and corporate deal lawyer Zachary S. Klughaupt as counsel, bolstering its Latin American capital markets practice.
Klughaupt, who is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, will divide his time between São Paulo and New York.

Invesco has appointed Henry Robin as a managing director in its fund of funds team.
Robin will be based in Invesco’s New York office where he will join founding partner Phil Shaw as co-head of the private equity fund of funds business.

Helen Wyatt, a senior associate in Mourant Ozannes’ Guernsey office, will join the London team later this month.
Wyatt (pictured) joined Mourant Ozannes in 2001, qualifying as an English solicitor in 2004 and as a Guernsey advocate in 2007. Her current practice includes banking and finance, corporate and funds work.
The appointment comes as Mourant Ozannes celebrates the tenth anniversary of the opening of its London office; in 2000 it became the first law firm from the Channel Islands to operate from a London base.

OrbiMed, an investment management firm focused on the healthcare sector, has appointed Vince Burgess, Peter Thompson and Joseph Zakrewski as venture partners and Alexander Cooper as general counsel.

Matrix has appointed Vincenzo Narciso as partner in the private funds group, where he will focus on both originating and raising capital for international private equity and venture capital funds.
The private funds group at Matrix was founded in 2004 and works with a wide range of private equity firms providing advisory and fundraising services.
Funds advised by the team have raised in excess of EUR1bn since inception.
The team is part of the investment banking division of Matrix Group, a UK privately owned financial services businesses with GBP3.5bn assets under management.
